New article - Clerical magic

I have a new article in Magic, Ritual and Witchcraft, entitled "A Case of Clerical Magic Involving Treasure Hunting from 1880".

An Italian (or Sardinian) priest is accused of practising illicit magic as late as the 1870s. There was a great medieval tradition of this sort of thing, but the date here is very late.

The priest also seems to have been a financial fraudster and may have been a sexual abuser.
